Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

I agree with another reviewer that this is Salisbury Steak and a great comfort food. I usually always add more liquid in order to have more gravy because that is what my family likes. I also appreciate all the reviewers that add their own experiences to the review.

Cousin David's Slow Cooker Brisket

The first time I made this I did not like it at all. It took a lot of brown sugar just to make it edible. The taste was too vinegar-y for me. However, I decided to try again and used half bbq sauce and half chili sauce and again added brown sugar; and the second time I thought it turn out really good.

Cake Balls

I absolutely love these and have made them several times. There are endless possibilities. I always use half a container of icing though. The entire container is way too much. I also put the balls in the freezer for a little while before dipping. This makes them much easier to handle. I first saw these on the Bakerella website. She does all sorts of things with these and has different designs for every holiday.

Tilapia with Tomatoes, Black Olives and Corn

Delicious. Although, I used what I had on hand and made some changes.I used cod, kalamata olives and used capers instead of corn. I thickened the sauce with a TBsp of tomato paste and added basil. Served it with rice. Everyone loved it.

I added mushrooms and garlic and I cooked the tuna under the broiler. This was a hit with my family. I will probably thicken the sauce next time though.

Sweet Corn Cake

Delicious and just like the restaurant version. However, I used to have a recipe that called for baking in a loaf pan which I felt made it more "scoop-able". Baking in an 8x8 pan made it more like polenta.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

I made this following the recipe exactly. If I make it again I will probably try the suggestion of another reviewer and season the meat with some garlic and sage because the meat was very bland. I will also try making this in the oven instead of a slow cooker. The slow cooker caused the meat to turn out very mushy and water-logged. Overall I just wasn't happy with this. I'm not sure I'll try it again.
