Grandma's Corn Chowder

The PERFECT crowd pleaser. I made 12 gallons of this chowder and it was a huge hit. I added kernal corn in addition to the creamed corn. Will definately be making this again.

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

I made this frosting last night and I won't do it again. It was not very smooth and it did not spread well at all. My cake was torn and the flavor seems bland. I usually use the recipe for "Rich chocolate frosting" (which is amazingly easy and delicious), but I did not have enough butter. I give this only a 2

Antipasto Platter

The hit of the party!! Instead of bottled italian dressing, this recipe is far better with balsamic vinegar and olive oil sprinkled just before serving. Reduce the provolone and use whichever ingredients you have available and it is also superb. I do not always use every ingredient- usually omiting roast beef and the gorgonzola. I get asked for the recipe every time!

Rich Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2007
I have used this recipe twice now and it has come out PERFECTLY every time. I used it to frost a 2 layer chocolate cake with a strawberry layer in the middle with chocolate strawberries on top. Be sure to adjust the above recipe with your cake. I halved the recipe and still had enough frosting left over to put away for 12 cupcakes. Be sure to smooth the lumps out of your confectioners sugar! ALSO- I reduced the amount of sugar so it would not be so sweet. I use 2 cups in a halved recipe instead of 2.5 I also use SALTED butter.
