My favorite things to cook
I love food and love cooking and baking. I particularly like things that are not to difficult to make and can be made for a large family. I have a daughter that will not eat meat so I am usually looking for chicken dishes that she would enjoy. But my husband and I love to try new dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother's parent came from Yugoslavia so I try to make some of her country dishes, but she also loved to make dishes from all over the world and I try to keep that up.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking for an office of 350 people for a potluck lunch.
My cooking tragedies
Of course I would think everyone has done this, but the first turkey I made I did not pull out the inside bags and while I was making the dressing I accidentally knocked over a small bag of black rubber washer that were sitting on the window sill and they got baked into the dressing. Thank goodness they were thick rubber as they didn't melt but just were chewy. I was so embarrassed but learned from those mistakes.
