My favorite things to cook
I love anything smothered in cheese, although not the healthiest! I also cook with lots of garlic and think it makes nearly every dish taste better! ;)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love having company over and cooking a big meal that I wouldn't normally serve on a daily basis. I love to entertain!
My cooking triumphs
There aren't too many things that I have not been able to master, but I think my best triumph is my Honey Garlic Chicken Teryaki. I was such a fumbling mess when I first started cooking it, but now after more than 10 years I have it mastered to a science! :)
My cooking tragedies
My biggest tragedy would have to be when I made my daughters 1st birthday cake. The cake turned out beautifully and I used a daisy cake mold. The trick was the icing. I thought I would do a Strawberry cake and love cream cheese frosting, and thought what a great combination! However, my fault was that cream cheese icing is not stiff anough to do a star icing design and it was melting down and the colors were all trying to blend together. Luckily I had my MIL with me and we managed to save the cake with a more simple icing design!
