About this Cook
Mostly easy going, mellow. Don't like a crowd in the kitchen when I cook! If making a big meal, I love to pour my self a huge glass of Pinot nior.
My favorite things to cook
SOUPS & STOUPS, I love to make homade soups or stoups! There is only my husband and I and soups can be eaten a few times a week but best of all they freeze wonderfully, so I usually freeze half right off the bat! Also, Pasta's, Stews, Chili's, & Pork recipes. (Pulled Pork, my specialty!)=0)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Irish Soda Bread! My momma's Pasta's, Nanna's stews.
My cooking triumphs
I mastered a coworkers "pulled pork recipe"! My neighbors who we frequently share dinner with, flipped for it. They are from the south west, he is a true Texan. I was flattered when they told me they were contemplating asking me to cook it for their daughters graduation party, about 100 people. After all, what does a girl from Brooklyn know about pulled pork?
My cooking tragedies
I forgot I had put on some eggs to boil for potato salad I was making. A few hours later there were several explosions in the kitchen (I forgot I put the eggs on). The dog and I had to crawl in to the kitchen on our bellies, like we were under attack, dodging the flying eggs and shells and remove pot from burner. I was removing egg and shells from the ceiling and walls for weeks to come. I just kept finding more no matter how much I had thought I cleaned it up.

Terrific! A bit more sea salt and I tripled the L/S Chicken broth (1.5 Cups). We topped off with "pecorino romano" and some red pepper flakes.......MMMMMMMMMM, Good! Thanks!!!

Fresh Tomato Salsa
Excellent! A clove of garlic was necessary for me.......but if you don't do garlic, still a great recipe!
