I'm a retired nurse. I've usually stayed with quick and easy recipes because it was quick and easy. Now that I have time to enjoy myself in the kitchen thats just what I'm doing. I love to try new recipes. My friends and family always expect to have one when they are invited for dinner. They are good natured and gracious about my disasters. I love the holidays when we have a large group over for dinner. We try to invite people who are alone during that time. Once I made a pie crust that looked like a piecrust. I've had so many of those. I think the most memorable one was when I cooked a prime rib packed in salt for Christmas dinner. It still raw at the end of the cooking time. We microwaved it piece by piece.
