This was delicious! I followed other reviewers' suggestions and added 2 tspns of brown sugar. If the original recipes called for a sweet ingredient like brown sugar or honey I would have given it 5 stars.

I added an extra clove of garlic, one can of kidney beans and a little bit of cayenne pepper to the original recipe. This is definitely one of my top five recipes and my husband loves it too. Another reason we love it is because you can throw everything in the slow cooker and come home to a delicious meal ready to go!

This recipe is delicious! I prepared all of the ingredients the night before (except for the kale) and put everything in my slow cooker. The next day when I came home from work the following day I turned the slow cooker on high for about 20 minutes and put the fresh kale in. It was nice to come home to a hearty meal all ready to go.
