About this Cook
I'm married (nearly 17 years now) and both my husband and I are pretty busy, so doing anything substantial is always a trick. We both work, and both take turns making dinner, or whatever on the weekend.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandma's homemade chicken noodle soup, turkey meat/sage stuffing, piggies in a blanket (cabbage rolls cooked in sauerkraut).
My cooking triumphs
Cakes, mostly Kahlua Chocolate cake, which is always a hit.
My cooking tragedies
Various dinner ideas. I seem to be better at baking.

Gramma Bertha's Banana Cake
This was an easy recipe, and overall really good. However, it was more bread-like. I wanted to try this as-is the first time, but now will try again with some suggesed add-ins from other reviews. It's worth trying!

Coffee Shop Corn Muffins
I tried this recipe for a get together and wasn't sure about it, but everyone loved them! They weren't terribly sweet, but much better than the regular cornbread. Thanks for passing this one along :)
