Terrific! Just as I remembered it as a kid in the '70s! I don't care for mayo, so I used plain yogurt and sour cream along with a whole tin of anchovies. Perfecto!

I baked this for my office's annual New Year's Eve luncheon (with a Bing Cherry topping) - it went FAST! My pal, who loves cheesecake, gave me her personal "thumbs up," which means it's TERRIFIC!!! I added a touch of lemon juice, wrapped the pan in aluminum foil, and put the bain marie on a lower rack...no cracks whatsoever. Perfect! I will definitely make this many times in the future.

I frosted strawberry-pistachio cupcakes with this [to take into the office for a treat] and it was a HUGE hit! Delicious and addictive!
