Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Wow - great recipe! I did spice it up a bit more by adding more chili powder and some cumin. More garlic. Also topped with diced jalepenos, but we like it hot! Thanks for a keeper recipe.

Mexican Shrimp Cocktail

This is a fantastic lunch or appetizer. And low calorie to boot! It is soupy - it's supposed to be. We do add diced cucumber on occasion, or more avocado. For party appetizer, serve in a martini glass. Very impressive and everyone loves it. Even better the next day IF you have any leftover. Thx for a great recipe.

Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
Great recipe that you can change around as you like. My first batch I added extra zip with crushed red pepper, Ro-tel spicy, more garlic, etc. With those left overs, I added more plain canned tomatoes and two handfulls of pasta. My 9 yr old said that was the best soup he ever had! Next time making it, I added a pound of ground turkey for a very filling meal. Thanks for a keeper recipe!

Southern Pulled Pork

This is the 2nd time making this. Like another reviewer did, I just put the whole thing in the crockpot. Added lots extra garlic, cajun seasoning and liquid smoke. Used a 3 lb. boston butt and in 6 hours pulled it out and it shredded itself! Added some of the leftover broth (there was alot) and added a bit of Sweet Baby Ray's - only cuz my family likes BBQ - i could've eaten it without. An easy, yummy keeper. Thanks!

Yeast Waffles

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
My hubby made these last night so we could serve guests for breakfast. Very happy! These are definitely worth passing on the Bisquick! So yummy and such a different taste than plain ol' waffles. We doubled and cooked up a bunch of waffles and put them in small freezer bags for quick before school breakfast. Thanks for a great recipe.

Pollo Fajitas

Made twice. 2nd time, I did use breasts which I think works better. Also spiced it up a bit more: added more garlic, a sliced jalepeno and a red pepper. Was also great as leftovers next day to have a fajita salad!

Broccoli Squash Bake

Great recipe! I've made twice now. 2nd time, I had some leftover steamed broccoli & cauliflower from night before. As it was just lightly steamed, thought it would be perfect for this recipe - it was! Nice that you can change around cheeses and veggies to suit what you have on hand. Thanks for the good idea!

Awesome! We actually made the night and chilled all night before an afternoon party. Added another spoon of sour cream to whip up, then bring to room temp to serve. Put out veggies and bagel crips and there was none left! thanks fro the keeper.

Very tasty and easy meal! Like others, I reduced cooking time a few mins. Also pressed garlic and pepper right into the pork chop before adding sauce. Sauce is great on rice! Thanks for the keeper.

Blue Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms with Grilled Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
Who needs onions?! We made these without onions, just stuffed mushrooms with blue cheese. Our guest asked for a doggy bag of mushrooms! Very easy & tasty way to use up those mushrooms! We've now made several times as an easy appetizer. Thanks for great idea!

Yum! Just due to personal preference, i reduced eggs, somewhat and "spiced" it up a bit with garlic powder, more black pepper and seasoning salt. Will definitely make again.

Yummy on a cold night! Hubby thought it a little salty and said he'd at least cut salt in half next time. Served with a little sour cream & shredded cheese on top. Will definitely make again. Already planning it for when we have leftover pork loin and will use in place of ham! Thanks - good recipe.

So easy! I used a little balsamic dressing, then some regular italian dressing. Realized at the last minute I didn't have time to chill, so added leftover mixed veggies and cheese and served it warm. YUM!
