Simply scrumptious. Just like apple crumble but even better as it's got two layers of crumble. This was so popular I had to make it again the next day.

Zucchini Brownies

These are absolutely AMAZING! If you really pack the zucchini into the cup measure rather than sprinkling it in (as I did the first time round), then your mixture won't be crumbly.

Slow-Cooked Chili

Very nice. I only put in 1 rounded tablespoon of chili though, as I like it mild. Made it overnight and had it the next evening -- chili's always better on the 2nd day!

Pasta Melanzana

This kick-butt recipe was a hit with my boyfriend. I did, however make some changes thus: (a) 2c dry pasta; (b) 350g frozen chopped spinach as no fresh; (c) added a small dollop of sour cream to the whole mixture just before serving, to help the spinach be more creamy.

Old-Fashioned Onion Soup

Yum. I didn't put in the bread (we served it on the side). I also needed much more liquid! Next time I'll either use small onions, or chop the rings in half as it was a bit messy to eat.

Our Favorite Olive Beef

Lovely. I was wondering why the Kaiser rolls, now I know. Very juicy. My piece of meat was a bit dry, next time I'll get proper chuck or something more fatty. I browned the meat in a skillet first, and put black pepper on it.

Swiss Steak Stew

This is nice but needs a bit of extra flavour. Also, I don't think the corn works in this recipe. Solution: next time I'll add garlic and herbs, and use strong bouillon or wine instead of water. I'll also swap the corn for mushrooms.

Baked Vegetables I

Very tasty and filling. The olive oil soaks into the potatoes to make them gooey and delicious. I'm thinking of using real onions in it next time, and maybe some cubed pumpkin?
