Cranberry Pork Roast

This might be more of an acquired taste. My hubby liked it but I didn't and the kids just thought it was just another pork roast. 4 hours on low was more than enough time in the slow cooker. May want to check the temp after 3 hours or so to keep from getting a dry roast.

Mini Meatloaves

These were good. I liked the size of the meatloaves but there was a lot of grease on the bottom of the pan. (Line with foil paper for easier cleanup.) My hubby doesn't like the sauce so I only put it on half. To me they were a little bland without the sauce but I really liked it with the sauce.

Apple Butter Pork Loin

My 2.5 lb tenderloin came out dry and much of the sauce that dripped off to the side was burned. My hubby said it was yummy (quite the feate)! Be sure to spray the bottom of the pan with Pam or you'll be soaking your dish for a while like me. I'll turn down the cooking time next time.

Pecan Pie V

My family loved this pie. I put halved pecans on the top instead of in the pie and they had a nice crunch to them. The pie for me was a bit sweet and next time I might reduce some of the sugar or use Splenda for the white sugar. But it was fabulous and I will make it again.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

I didn't really care for Asparagus until I tried preparing it this way. Now I love it. I think it is the butter that makes it so tasty.

Cowboy Cookies III

My family thought these cookies were good, not great. Interestingly, I used two different baking sheets when making the cookies so I could have one batch in the oven & one ready to go in the oven. One bakng sheet is air insulated and one is just a flat cookie sheet. The cookies came out nicely shapped on the regular cookie sheet but they came out flat every time on the air insulated baking sheet.

Broiled Sweet Potatoes

We love this. Add 1/2 to 1 tablespoon of cinnamon to the sugar and mix together. I use Olivio buttery spray instead of butter which makes it easy and better on the waisteline.

Apple Spice Dump Cake

I appreciated the simplicity of this recipe. My family enjoyed this dessert and I will make it again. It seems like there is something missing but I'm not sure. I wonder if putting the cake mix on the bottom instead of the top would make a difference.

Sticky Monkey Brains

Gross name but oh so good. We call it Monkey Bread or Pull Apart Bread. I use a regular size bunt pan and invert it onto a large serving dish about 10 minutes out of the oven so it catches all the gooey goodness.

Cabbage Rolls II

These were very good. I loved being able to put them in a slow cooker. I didn't remove the hard spine from the cabbage leaves and wish I had. The spine made them rather difficult to roll up. Season the meat mixture to your taste (I added some garlic powder and Old Bay) and you'll really enjoy these.

Very good. The best tip I can give is to not overcook these. Stick to the low temp throughout the cooking time. Very tasty.
