About this Cook
I'm a 26 year old, married, sassy lady whose life is constantly changing and evolving. I love: My husband Ben, all of my close girl friends friends, my family, my pugs, singing, dancing, music, art, photography, crocheting, drawing, shopping, being pampered, traveling, fine dining, cooking, decorating, children, the beach, Starbucks, rollarcoasters, flowers, Godiva chocolate, and a good martini every now and then... I hate: Being so far away from the people I love, Stupid people, German drivers, people who think pugs are ugly, sitting on my , fried food, and mushrooms
My favorite things to cook
My late dad's recipes, southern food, and italian.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My dad was the cook in my family, and although he didn't like help in the kitchen, I used to sit at the bar in the kitchen and watch him cook. That is how I learned to cook. We would always have a big southern meal on Sunday (Slow-cooked ribs, potato salad, baked beans, fresh bread).
My cooking triumphs
My husband and I were stationed in Germany earlier this year, and since I had to quit my job before the move, it has allowed me more time in the kitchen! I have made all sorts of new and exciting dishes... mostly thanks to this site!!!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made gravy... ughhhhh

Broccoli Casserole I
Good recipe! I used 1 can cream of chicken and 1/2 can cream of mushroom instead (I hate mushrooms) and it came out great. I also added onion salt, garlic powder, and sprinkled the top with peprika before cooking.

Pasta e Fagioli II
Yum Yum Yum!!!! We don't have the Olive Garden here in Germany (we have real authentic Italian food made by real Italians LOL), but I miss the soup/salad at the Olive Garden sooo much! This recipe was pretty close to what they serve. I followed the recipe except for the following: 1. I used 1 lb ground beef and 1 lb italian sausage 2. I substituted tomato sauce with 2 cans diced tomatoes and 1 can tomato sauce It came out beautifully and we had leftovers for days!
