I'm a happy-go-lucky kinda girl who loves to eat as much as she loves to cook! My professional life is in Leadership Development and Photography, but my "night job" is helping to manage and promote my boyfriend's music career (www.MySpace.com/AustinScottMusic)
My favorite things to cook
I'm pretty comfortable with pasta and beef and chicken. I love to branch out and try new recipes as often as my schedule and budget will allow! I want to learn how to cook fish, but it's not allowed in my house right now :o(
My favorite family cooking traditions
We don't really cook as a family, though my boyfriend and I do like to tackle impromptu "what's in the cupboards?" type meals together. My favorite family cooking time that I'd like to make a tradition is my dad helped me create my very first turkey dinner for christmas last year. That was awesome.
My cooking triumphs
My first turkey dinner! I cooked for 26 people and did it almost entirely solo!
Also I made this awesome pasta dish once that was sort of kinda based on a recipe I'd seen somewhere, but mostly I was wingin' it and it turned out awesome!
My cooking tragedies
In high school I was making a spaggetti dinner for my family with a friend of mine. We were fighting over how much garlic should go in the sauce (he wanted way more than I did). He kept sneaking garlic in when I wasn't looking... the world may have never known except when we all sat down to dinner, we discovered we'd *actually* been fighting with garlic SALT... it was completely unedible...
