About this Cook
I'm a recent college graduate with a BA in English. I've always lived in the South and love it. My favorite things are: food, books, and animals (especially my two "girls" Kenya and Sadie). I am so thankful for this site and should definitely credit it with my increased cooking repertoire.
My favorite things to cook
Being from the South, I love all things fried; but my absolute favorite thing to cook and eat is vegtables, and the more colorful the better. Unfortunately, my boyfried (whom I usually cook for) is an extreme carnivore who grew up off of TV dinners and processed food; the only veggies he likes are white or yellow, all his favorite foods end in "ito" and there is no compromise.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I was not allowed in the kitchen growing up.
My cooking triumphs
My boyfriend is very finicky, but he loves my cubed steak and my eggrolls, so that's a huge triumph for me.
My cooking tragedies
My first time cooking hush puppies they turned out terrible; I halfed the recipe, but I forgot to half the wet ingredients. They were so bad my roommate and I called them "loud dogs".

Thai-Style Peanut Sauce with Honey
I used this to make Thai Chicken Pizza from this site and substituted lime juice for the rice vinegar. I love, love, love this. Can't wait to try it on noodles.

I used Thai-Style Peanut Sauce w/ Honey from this site and thought this pizza was delicious...very similar to my fave one @ California Pizza.
