Baba Ghanoush

I did everything the same as the recipe except I left out the sesame seeds, I think it has enough sesame taste with the tahini. This is so good the next day, I made Peppy's Pitas to got with it and am thinking about eating this again soon!

Peppy's Pita Bread

Very easy. I followed DReginek's instructions for making without a bread maker, turned out perfect, so much better than store bought. I made them in the oven the first time and have put them on the grill each time after, totally fun and tasty. I served them with baba ghanoush, so yummy.

Kung Pao Chicken

Not very good, bland. I used less sesame oil. The recipe didn't specify, but I assume the author meant light sesame oil, because two tablespoons of dark would be so aaaaawful! I think I will tweak this a bit using some chicken broth, rice wine vinegar, shoyu and sesame oil to try and get the taste we love.

Hot Buttered Rum Mix

Really good base, but it needs a little spice to it. I added coriander, cinnamon and touch of nutmeg to it. I keep some of this in the freezer for cold Washington nights, or mornings, or afternoons, it's that good!

Hot Cranberry Tea

So good. The cloves are a natural pain anaesthetic and were great for the sore throats and stuffy noses my husband I were nursing in January. The only change I made was to add a little more orange and extra cloves. So good, I have made this about five times now.

Famous Butter Chicken

My son is such a picky eater that I had make him try a bite (the one bite rule in our house) and boy was he glad, he loved it and asked for it again the next night. Wonderful and easy recipe, thanks a lot! I made a couple of changes to the recipe, which were just personal taste choices, I used just one egg and added two tablespoons of buttermilk to it and I used a dash of dry mustard and parsley to the cracker crumbs.

Too salty with bacon AND dried beef. I was not please at all with the result and would have liked to have used my sodium for the month on something tastier like kettle korn or potato chips. Totally disappointing.

Wow, this was really unappetizing. Even the smell was bad. I love sauerkraut, but this was just yecky.

Very authentic. I add extra mushrooms and serve this with homemade egg noodles to really amaze my family. Thanks for the great recipe.

Erin's Indonesian Chicken

So, so good, but bland made as is. I made jasmime rice instead of plain white, using one tsp of canola, heat rice till coated and smells like popcorn, then add water, heat to boil, then turn to low, cover and cook 20mins (perfect rice every time!). I added thin sliced carrots with the beans, 1/2 tsp dark sesame oil, 1 tbsp white wine and 1tbsp fine grated fresh ginger (1/2 tsp dry) to the sauce mix, it was fantastic and smelled wonderful!

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
Making the sugar water on the stove is an easy and ingenious step. However, I have to agree with other reviewers, too sweet, I had to juice three extra lemons to balance it out to the sweet tart flavor I was hoping for. This lemonade is better than the stuff at HOT DOG ON A STICK.

Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
Delicious! I couldn't find the graham sticks the first time I made this (last weekend was about the sixth time) and followed the advice of another reviewer and used pretzel sticks, WOWZA, so good, a little salty and sweet. I haven't had any problems forming it into a ball, I suspect those who have didn't allow it to firm up long enough or else they substituted neufchatel for cream cheese or margerine for butter, NO NO! You have to use the real stuff (fattening, but tasty). Make a batch and take it over to a friends house so you wont be tempted to plop it in front of your tv and eat your head off!

Strawberry Margarita

Delicious! I can't give this enough stars. I am going to make this for a girls night next week, I think everyone will like it too. UPDATE:I make this with limeade instead of pink lemonade, get the real lime stuff, not the acid green stuff made with food coloring. I like it even better now.
