Bar Stool Pretzels

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
I am baking some as I write this and the smell is heavenly. I don't even have to eat one to know that I will love them. I can't wait for my husband to try them, he's gonna go crazy for these. Thanks for the great recipe.

Mall Pretzels

I think next time, contrary to the directions I wont roll these out so thin. I was really hoping for thick chewy pretzels and these were a little too crunchy for my taste, but all in all they were very good

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
Tasty and so simple. I made this for Easter dinner with friends. I made sure not to tell them it had dijon mustard (they are kind of weird and don't like 'foreign' food). But the gobbled it right up. Success!

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
This is so good even I like it (I don't usually like fruit bread recipes). It tastes even better cold and has a really banana-ey taste that is addictive. Like others, I used part whole grain flour. Thanks so much for the tasty recipe.

Chicken and Summer Squash

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
With the addition of garlic, basil, oregano, rosemary, parsley and marjoram this was edible. But flavorful and memorable it was not. I think this would be a good recipe for someone recovering from surgery or a stomach ailment as it was very bland and lightly spiced. If your favorite foods are boiled potatoes, lime jello and grilled cheese sandwiches on white bread, then you will LOVE this.

Absolutely the BEST Rich and Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing Ever!

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
Very creamy. I added more blue cheese, hubby's suggestion and some fresh parsley to spike the flavor a bit. This dressing was awesome with the grilled chicken salad I made. I can't imagine ever buying it at the store again, cause this dressing is easily a hundred times better. I am adding this to my rotation.

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
Wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, it tastes like soy sauce and onions to me. But I cut up the chicken and put it in a salad with my favorite Japanese Peanut Sesame Dressing (recipe from this site) and holy cow! So delish. So it wasn't a loss at all, just needed more to it to make it to my dinner table. Thanks for the easy recipe

Browned Butter Vegetables with Almonds

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
I am always on the lookout for tasty veg recipes, this is one I will add to the rotation. I subbed part olive oil for the butter and it was still so good, the almonds were to die for.

Wild Grape Starter

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
I am on day seven and getting worried that it wont turn out! It seems such a weird way to make sourdough starter! But, I have my fingers crossed and a tasty sourdough biscuit recipe all ready to be used on day nine! UPDATE: Well, my fears were unfounded. It is now about three weeks later and I have used the starter to make pitas, rolls and bread. I wasn't sure about the amounts to feed the starter, so I just guesstimated and added equal amounts of flour and water each time. The consistency is viscous and the smell is very sour. I use a cup of starter, mixed with milk and flour and put it in the oven overnight and the next morning I mix up pitas, rolls, whatever and it works every time.

Roasted Potatoes with Greens

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2007
I am so glad I tried this, the most tasty and easy potatoes I have ever made. I agree with other reviewers; more spinach. Also, I subbed EVOO for the butter, just a personal preference. Other than that, I couldn't be happier. Thanks for the awesome recipe.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2007
This is so delicious! What a good recipe, I only made a couple of changes; I used all jalapenos and substituted part of the mayo for sour cream. It was divine. I have a little left over and I think I will use it to stuff a couple of chicken breasts. These should be even better than the spinach/blue cheese kind. Thanks for the wonderful recipe!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2007
This is almost the exact same recipe that I have in an old Mammoth Hospital Auxillary Cookbook, except this one is incomplete. I tried it as written, but wasn't very tasty compared to the Hospital recipe which includes thinly sliced onions and a dash of worcestershire sauce.

Shish Tawook Marinated Chicken

Such a weird combination of ingredients. I loved it. The aroma while it was cooking was fabulous. I didn't use the dip, I am not a big fan of mayo, so I made some tzatztiki instead and we really enjoyed the combination. Thanks for the clever recipe.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2007
Tasty and easy. I sprinkled some french fried onions on the top to add a little crunch, left off the parmesan (didn't miss it)and substituted cream of mushroom for the cream of potato (we don't like cream of potato). I think this will be a tasty addition for Christmas morning.

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2007
The cottage cheese/sour cream mixture was so yummy. I made the chicken in the crockpot-three frozen chicken breasts with a chopped onion, 1/2 a beer with a sprinkle of cumin, oregano, cinnamon, black pepper and a couple of cloves of garlic, gave it a stir and cooked it on low for five hours and then shredded it, sooo easy and tasty. Thanks for the fab recipe!

So good and easy to make. I love it on chicken salad but it is so good I have poured it onto pasta too! Especially tasty with broccoli slaw, I am salivating just thinking about it.Thanks for the wonderful recipe. Buy the already toasted sesame seeds in the Asian Foods Section at the Grocery Store!

Wow! I can't imagine eating french toast any other way now. So tasty even though I used triple sec for the orange liquer (not very authentic) I will try Grand Marnier next time like someone else suggested.
