Grilled Chipotle Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
Very good. I used an entire 12 oz can of chipotle. Instead of a whole cut up chicken, I used boneless skinless breasts and thighs. Since it is winter and didn't want to use the charcoal grill, I broiled it using my gas stove. Turned out great. I can't wait to try them on the grill in the spring. I served along side Poblano stuffed with charizo, shrimp and rice from the food network site. Fabulous dinner.

Lamb Chops with Balsamic Reduction

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
Made this for dinner tonight. Fabulous. I didn't have shallot so I used red onion since I had it on hand. As the lamb was sitting with the herbs I started reading the reviews...I was getting nervous about only having cheap vinegar on hand. I took the advice of another reviewer and cut the the amount of balsamic that it called for in half. I used some left over Port wine that I had in the fridge for the substitution of the other half. Worked great. I will be making this recipe again. The family loved it including my 4 year old daugher. I won't even go out and buy expensive balsamic now that I know it isn't necessary.

Asian Orange Chicken

This was very good. I didn't have lemon juice on hand so I just used more fresh squeezed orange juice and it still turned out wonderful.

Grilled Chicken with Herbs

This is very good. It's a great way to used up the fresh herbs in the garden. And you can add as many herbs as you would like to personal taste.

Grilled Shrimp Scampi

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2007
This was wonderful. I doubled the sauce as other reviewers suggested. I'm glad that I did. I made this along side steak and put the sauce over pasta. Will keep this recipe.

Barbequed Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
This is the best rib recipe. I don't use the sauce given with this recipe. I use another from this site. But this rub is incredible. Will always make ribs this way!

Simple Slow Cooker Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
This was good. Good slow cooker recipes are key with working parents. We ate this for dinner tonight. I made a couple of additions. I made it the night before to be ready for the next day. I used sage sausage, half bread crumbs and half crushed butter crackers(I wanted to use them up) I also used bbq sauce instead of ketchup. I also added a dash of liquid smoke, I know it sounds crazy but it turned out great. Had my husband come home on lunch and turn it on low. I got home about six hours later and put the bbq sauce on top for few minutes. My 3 year old loved it.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
This is quick and easy. Perfect for a weeknight dinner. I have made this twice now, once with sweet sausage and once with spicy. Both were wonderful. My husband even loves it and he isn't a pasta fan.

Kathy's Delicious Italian Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
This was good with some alterations. I added more salami and fresh basil from the garden. I think the basil gives it flavor and freshness that the salad otherwise lacks. You have to love balsamic to really enjoy this recipe.

Pork Chops Stuffed with Smoked Gouda and Bacon

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
This one is a keeper. I used more bacon than it called for, we like bacon:) Grilled on charcoal and it gave it wonderful flavor. Even my 3 year old loved it. I did soak the toothpicks for a couple of hours to help prevent them from burning. It seemed to have worked. Will for sure make again.

Grilled Salmon Kyoto

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
This was a good salmon recipe. I used fresh squeezed orange juice, that was what I had on hand, and added more ginger than the recipe calls for and threw in some garlic chili sauce. The whole family loved it, including my father-in-law.

Fried Rice with Cilantro

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2007
This is awesome. I was looking for a side to go with Korean BBQ marinade from this site and my sister told me about this recipe. They go great together. I use boneless skinless chicken thighs instead of breasts. I also add more fish and soy sauce than it calls for. I think the sauces should be to taste. This one will stay in my recipe box.

Korean BBQ Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2007
This is a new staple. I've made this several times. I add green onions and a bit of toasted sesame oil and let it marinade overnight. I have made it both with ground and fresh ginger. I enjoy the the version with fresh giner a little more but whatever is on hand will work. Goes great with Fried Rice with Cilantro from this site.

Greek Pasta Salad with Shrimp, Tomatoes, Zucchini, Peppers, and Feta

Reviewed: May 10, 2007
Good recipe. I love that it is different from the rest of the summer salads that you eat year after year. I found that there should be more veggies. Next time I make this recipe I will double the zucchini and peppers. Great for a picnic.
