About this Cook
I am a 27 year old stay at home mother of 3 children. I have recentley started to make new recipes atleast 3 times a week to expand our meal rotation. I guess I get bored of the same old dinners and really love to try new things. I enjoy sewing and designing clothes for my girls, ebaying, cake decorating, party planning, and just about anything that I can be creative.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking everything. The thing I love to do is cake baking and decorating.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't really have any traditions except for to completely destroy my kitchen. I am an entire kitchen cook. I don't clean as I go so my tradition I guess is spending forever in the kitchen after cleaning!
My cooking triumphs
I just recently made a volcano cake for my niece's 2nd birthday. I came out spectacular and I even managed to make it erupt and be edible and yummy.
My cooking tragedies
I was making a Mad Hatter style cake for a wedding shower and as I was putting on the finishing touches the cake collapsed. So after about 9 hours or so of work there layed my cake is a sad pile with me standing over it sobbing covered in pink and chocolate buttercream frosting after trying to save it.

Kabob Marinade
FANTASTIC!! I doubled the recipe and let a combination of sirlion and chicken chunks marinate for several hours. I reserved some to brush on while cooking. I also used pineapple chunks, cherry tomatoes, green peppers, red onions, and mushrooms on our kabobs. I cooked them under the broiler and brushed the kabob with the marinade several times during cooking. I will be using this again and again.

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars
Very Very Good! I made these bars two times now. The first time semi-sweet chips were used and the second all I had were milk chocolate. I much prefer the taste of the semi-sweet morsels in these yummy bars. Make sure you take copies of the recipe with you if you! I have had the requested for parties and had to write this out for people several times now.

Cranberry White Chocolate Shortbread
These are the most addictive cookies. I have made them several times now. I like my shortbread to be on the softer side so instead of making them flat, I used a small ice cream scoop and left them in that shape. Not only do they stay in the cute shape of a scoop of ice cream, they a soft and slightly chewy. (see my photo) You do have to cook them slighty longer to get them to brown a little. The first time I made these I used bar chocolate and chopped it into pieces. This last time I used white chocolate chips and it was much easier and less of a mess. I will make these again and again.
