About this Cook
Girl who has extensively traveled and loves to try new international food.
My favorite things to cook
Chinese and Japaneses. I stayed three summers in Hong Kong. Also if it has duck in it my name is on it. Lol. I love duck.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother makes a mean pecan pie with a crust to die for and brioche bread to die for. I am learning how to master these two dishes as you have to go on feel to know when the bread is kneaded enough and when the crust is ready.
My cooking triumphs
Today I was experimenting when some bok choy, chow mien noodles, spinach, ect. Just some stuff that I had on hand and boy the dish came out good. I submitted it to the site.
My cooking tragedies
Learning how to cook ground turkey. I have discovered it is best for me to cook the turkey separate from the vegetable dish until you see that it is fully brown before adding it to a vegetable. One time it came out mushy and pink. I threw the dish away.

Mama's Best Broiled Tomato Sandwich
I absolutely love this! I like a little more mayonnaise and cheese than this calls for so I doubled the amounts.

Tuna Cheesies
I loved this recipe! However I am not a fan of onion and garlic powder so omitted these two items when I created my tuna chessies. I did not have any English muffins on hand so I substituted two slices of 12 grain bread and it came out great. Next time I will try it with the English muffins. Thanks for a great recipe that I will definitely make again.

Crab and Swiss Melts
I absolutely loved this recipe. I am not a fan of garlic so I omitted the garlic. Also I was out of bread and only had tortillas. It came out great anyways.
