About this Cook
I spent 4 years in the army and recently was honorably discharged. I have been married for two years to a wonderful man. We met in the Army and are now starting our next chapter as civilians. He is a police officer now and I plan on attending college in 2008.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking mexican, italian, and southern food. I love things full of flavor and prefer to use all fresh ingredients. My favorite 2 things to cook are cream cheese chicken enchiladas and shrimp ravioli alfredo. I get bored with food easily so I like to experiment with new recipes often. I have taken a sudden interest in baking. Dont know where it came from, but I have been baking a rediculous amount the past few weeks.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Wooden spoons and fresh ingredients. My great-grandmother's cooking was always the best I could find, so I adopted some of her ways of preparing things.
My cooking triumphs
The day that my husband told me that my stuffed shells tasted as good as his grandmother's. (He comes from an old fashioned Italian family and has always been very honest with me. If he doesnt like the way something tastes he tells me and we find a way to fix it. So the day he told me that I was on cloud 9.)
My cooking tragedies
when we were first married and I tried cooking a new kind of rice .. I was heartbroken when I burnt it.
