I go to Lakewood Ranch High School in Bradenton, FL. Following my graduation in the fall of 2008, I will be attending Johnson and Wales University in North Miami. I like to drum, work on my car, and obviously... cook.
My favorite things to cook
My great grandma has left a number of dessert recipes to my name. I've made over a hundred of them, and still am not halfway finished. I specialize in extravagant cakes, brownies, cookies, and any variety of chicken you can throw at me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
A secret spaghetti sauce recipe, rice crispie recipe, as well as many others will stay with me until I pass them on to my later relatives
My cooking triumphs
I can't claim to have any official "triumphs." I've made many people happy with my cakes, which is why I make them in the first place. I've made plenty of large cakes worth remembering, my largest weighing in at around 26 pounds.
My cooking tragedies
I was having an off day, at which time I was making 6 batches of cake which were to be combined to one at the finish. The first batch, I completely forgot to include eggs, the second, no oil, the third and forth, both dropped on the floor coming out of the oven. I guess I learned not to make cakes at 3 in the morning.
