I grew up helping my mom in the kitchen and if I wasn't helping I was watching her as she cooked. I have been blessed to have great cooks in my family. Desserts are my favorite, but I enjoying cooking and trying new recipes. Every Christmas my mom has a baking day, where we gather at her house and spend the entire day baking cookies, making fudge, and packaging it up to give to coworkers, neighbors, friends and family. I look forward to it every year. My grandmothers' biscuits and cornbread. I tried making bagels one time, let's just say I stick to the ones in the bread isle or from my local bakery now.
