Rubbed the chicken with a little poultry seasoning and salt before putting into the crock pot. Delicious!

Thunderbird Stew

So incredibly easy and delicious. Cut the apple sauce to 1 cup and added 1/2 cup of water (I'm more of a savory vs. sweet fan). Served over multigrain rotini. Will definitely make again.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
Pretty good basic pork recipe. Liked how easy it was. It seems like it's pretty versatile too: we ate the pork just drizzled with the juice from the crock pot, but will probably shred the pork tonight, add BBQ sauce and have pulled pork sandwiches.

I cut the butter in half and it was perfect! Served over brown and jasmine rice with plenty of sauce.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: May 9, 2009
I cut the butter to 1/4 cup, as other reviewers recommended, and added a couple dashes of cayenne and garlic powder. I used skinless chicken thighs and covered with foil for the first 30 minutes, then baked uncovered for 40. Basted every 20-25 minutes. Voila-beautiful presentation, simple, and deeelicious.

Vietnamese Sandwich

Used shredded pork shoulder, since we had some already in the fridge. It was a really good sandwich, but it didn't WOW me.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
Like other reviewers, I substituted chicken broth for water, cut the amount of biscuit dough to 1 package, and added some spices: paprika, pepper, oregano, basil, salt. I also threw in some sliced carrots about 3.5 hours into cooking. I accidentally bought boneless, skinless, chicken thighs (instead of breasts), but I trimmed off all the fat before cooking and they turned out wonderful. My husband and in-laws loved it!

Awesome Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
I subbed the egg noodles with multigrain rotini (my husband and I are just not fans of egg noodles) and omitted the peppercorns since I didn't have them. This was my first time making chicken noodle soup and I was pleasantly surprised how well it turned out.

Slow Cooker Pork

Super easy and the meat just falls apart. It lacked a little flavor the first time I made it, so I doubled the taco seasoning the second time around. Used the meat in soft tacos with shredded lettuce, salsa, sour cream.

Marinated Veggies

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
I subbed a lot of the veggies: used broccoli, zucchini, tomatoes, onion, baby carrots and red bell pepper. I also didn't have enough lemon juice, so I added a few dashes of lemon pepper. Everyone loved the way they turned out. Great, simple recipe!

Michelle's Coconut Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
I sliced up carrots instead of the cauliflower, and added broccoli. I also added 2 jalapeno peppers, as we like a little heat. It was a little watery, so I added a little corn starch. Delicious served over jasmine rice.

Lamb L'Arabique

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
Found this doing an ingredient search, and ended up deciding to make it as a side dish to accompany the lamb I was broiling. I used 2 tomatoes and some "starter" marinara sauce, some sliced carrots and then followed the rest of the ingredients of the recipe to a "T". I simmered on the stovetop for about an hour and t turned out wonderfully. I served it with couscous and the broiled lamb and both my husband and I loved it. I will definitely make this again!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
Every time I make these cookies, they are a huge hit with everyone. My husband even likes them better than his mom's oatmeal cookies (which he loves). I add about 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. Next time I am going to try cutting the sugar a little, though.
