Cooking for a husband and little guy encourages me to find new recipes that please them both and introduces new taste to the previous bean + cheese and chicken nugget diet.

I like to cook just about everything. I'm still learning so I don't know what I don't like to cook, yet.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Around Christmas we will bake cookies. For years I would have about 3-4 cookie recipes going.
I also enjoy making collard greens for Thanksgiving. It's my great-grandmother's recipe.
My cooking triumphs
Making a meal all by myself and having someone praise it. I haven't done the big stuff like a full Thanksgiving dinner. Alone.
My cooking tragedies
Not really cooking, but I lost the recipe book with my favorite Christmas cookies. It was a sad day when I realized that book was gone.
