About this Cook
I'm a single gal that likes to cook but rarely has someone to cook for. Enter the current boyfriend. I enjoy cooking for him and it's encouraging when he compliments my meals.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook just about everything. I'm still learning so I don't know what I don't like to cook, yet.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Around Christmas we will bake cookies. For years I would have about 3-4 cookie recipes going. I also enjoy making collard greens for Thanksgiving. It's my great-grandmother's recipe.
My cooking triumphs
Making a meal all by myself and having someone praise it. I haven't done the big stuff like a full Thanksgiving dinner. Alone. I'll save that for when I'm married.
My cooking tragedies
Not really cooking, but I lost the recipe book with my favorite Christmas cookies. It was a sad day when I realized that book was gone.

Butter Beef
I gave this one 5 stars because it was easy to make and tasted good. I made it exactly as directed and it came out perfect. The meat was tender and my boyfriend ate the leftover meat in a sandwich.

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy
I liked this.. not too blue-cheesy. :) I didn't put alot of gravy on the pork chops so there was a lot of gravy leftover. Will make again but for a larger group.

Famous Pork Chops
Very juicy. I used italian bread crumbs instead of crackers. I also used olive oil spray instead of butter before I put in oven. I took another reviewers idea and added some butter to each chop once I flipped the chops 25 minutes into cooking process. Next time, I might put them under the broiler for the last 5 minutes just to crisp up. Both my boyfriend and I liked these and we don't usually eat pork chops. Thanks for the recipe.
