Hi everyone..so I had been threating to make a Taste of Homes recipe and I did!!! It started out wonderful.. the batter was so good...I couldn't wait for it to come out of the oven. When I pulled the pan out..I thought YEA!!! this is gonna turn out to be a great cake....WRONG!! I guess I didn't wait long enough for the cake to cool before taking out of pan:( Part of the cake stayed in the bundt pan but I decided I wasn't giving up..so I pressed on with the recipe. The peanut butter filling was very tasty but I didn't add all the sugar...I thought it would be too thick to pipe into the cake...well I was right. The end results......a delisssh tasting cake but not pretty at all:( I do want to try it as cupcakes..which is what I should have done because that is what the recipe was for!

Well, it sure looks yummy to me! Sorry it gave you a hard time but... live and learn right? The cup cakes sound a little easier. Glad it tasted great because that's what really counts to the kids and grandkids.

Great recovery with the icing Gina! Have you ever tried the silicon bake ware? I have a silicon bundt pan and it comes out perfect every time because you just peel it off! Looks yummy!

Yummy looking to me too! Great job considering the fight with the pan! I never know whethor to let it cool or take it out warm....last time I did one, I waited 10 minutes(advice from the group,LOL) and it worked great but I bet it depends on how sturdy your quick bread/cake is!

I made several lemon bundt cakes before and last week I made one and I took it out of the pan too early and the same things happened. Instead of drizzling icing on top, I had to whip up lemon buttercream and ice the entire cake to hide the flaws! It happens sometimes! The end result is gorgeous!

What a great recovery!! Looks wonderful. I make pound cakes and every now and then one of them rises beautifully and then collapses! I get so frustrated. Only problem is, I don't know what I do differently when they collapse and when they don't. My SIL said he'd be glad to take every cake that falls. For some reason they have an almost candy like texture to them. One of these days I'll figure it out or not. Just remember, pretty doesn't always equate to deelish. Great job!
