About this Cook
I'm not really a bad cook. I rated myself as a beginner since I don't cook that often. My husband and I use this site jointly to change-up family meals. My husband does most of the cooking in the house with no complaints from me.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook would be just about anything that goes into the oven. I'm not one that likes standing over a hot stove stirring. I have tried 2 risotto recipes successfully, but I wouldn't recommend anyone with wrist problems to try them.
My cooking tragedies
One of my embarrassing cooking tragedies is the first time I cooked for my husband. Choosing to cook lumpia (an American favorite of Filipino Cuisine) I made the mistake of using OLD oil to fry them up in. Needless to say it was a very BAD experience. Lucky for me, he married me anyway. And that little incident has gotten me out of the typical woman's role of being the family's primary cook.

Roasted Rack of Lamb
I didn't follow the recipe exactly... I don't really cook that way and it came out wonderful. This recipe is a 'must try'.

Shiitake and Baby Bella Mushroom Risotto
This recipe is almost perfect. It was my 2nd time making risotto and the last time I made way too much. I cut the recipe and I still ended up with a lot of left over.

Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder
My husband made this soup last night and it was very good and hardy. He kicked-up the hot sauce ingredient a few notches making it just right on the level of spice, but it could of used more corn. We will definitely be saving this to our 'Recipe Box'.
