About this Cook
I live and work at a Christian Camp where I met my wonderful, gracious, kind, hot husband. We got married on May 19, 2007 now live in our sweet little 399 square foot trailer...we love it!
My favorite things to cook
Anything that takes time effort...that's made from scratch...like...pasta and breads and sauces that are simmered for hours, made from fresh picked veggies and herbs. But, let's be honest...sometimes it just feels good to pop a pre-fab lasagna in the oven and watch TV until it's done
My favorite family cooking traditions
I've always loved traditions but never had a whole lot growing up and even though I'd try to start them, I'd usually get shot down. Now being married and having my own little family, my husband and I just started having pancakes every Sunday night. He just told me that he's getting kind of tired of pancakes. Too bad honey...it's about TRADITION!! ;)

Juicy Roasted Chicken
This is SUPER juicy! I didn't have any onion powder on hand, so I used some onion soup mix that I had...very tasty and easy to make!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
This was very tasty. I only used one package of biscuits and threw in about 3/4 cup of frozen veggies. We ended up having lots of leftover filling, so I just used it to make a chicken pot pie the next day.

Oatmeal Cookie Mix
These cookies are very tasty and so helpful to have on hand when company comes over or you just need a sweet treat. I blended the oats (in a blender or food processor) just because I prefer a softer texture rather than a heartier oaty texture. I only got 9 cookies per batch using my cookie scoop, but that's just perfect for our little household!
