Potato Leek Soup III

I've made this twice and loved each time. The only differance is that I thicken by adding 2 tbs flour to the leeks and butter before adding broth and use evaporated milk instead of heavy cream. Thanks for sharing!

Southwestern Turkey Casserole

Like everyone else i modified this immensely, adding corn, black, beans an extra can of chilis, broth, and just one can of cream of celery--omitting the cream of mushroom and chicken. It's great!!! I give it 5 stars as it was a great idea and easily adaptable. thanks again

Great simple recipe. I read another review that said this was bland; I don't see how they can hold the recipe accountable, as they may have chosen bland/poor quality sausage or broth/boullion. Choose the type you prefer?

Mediterranean Potato Salad

Like everyone at allrecipes does, I heavily modified this recipe for my tastes and pantry. I used green peppers versus bell peppers, & made dressing with dijon mustard, olive oil, and apple cider in equal parts. I added dill, taragon, and lemon pepper to taste. I omitted lemon juice and feta as I didn't have any and added marinated artichoke hearts. I love this recipe because it has a cold vinegar base instead of mayo. Thanks for the great idea!!!

Super and super easy!!! I followed another reviewers advice and baked on a large edged cookie sheet. I substituted pecans for walnuts and added some golden raisins on hand. Thanks for the great recipe.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

This is also a great method for cooking the roast for mexican dishes. Just rub pork with salt, pepper, cumin, and garlic; sear all sides and throw in the slow cooker. Thanks

Veggie Vegetarian Chili

Awesome and easy. I too rinsed the beans and replaced the juice with water to reduce gas issues. Also my family doesn't care for green peppers, so I replaced with a can of dices green chilis. Very forgiving recipe and the leftovers are fabulous. Thanks!!!

Spinach and Mushroom Frittata

Great recipe to make your own!!! This recipe is easy to customize just add your own wet or dry ingredients. I used the spinach with some left over salmon, carrots and various cheeses on hand. My hubby loved it! Thanks

Traditional Mashed Potatoes

This recipe is exactly what it says. I also used evap milk as we drink 1% or 2%, not creamy enough. Be sure to return potatoes to hot pot to cook off excess water. This recipe is a great reference for amounts and you can always customize to your menu and your family's tastes.

Spinach and Carrot Quiche

This was my first quiche, but definately not my last! I never knew how simple quiches were. This recipe is a snap and everyone loved it I subbed the cheese for a good sharp cheddar as that is what we had on hand and it was great.
