This was my first time making gingersnaps and it won't be my last! These are nice and soft with great flavour. I took them out of the oven right at the 8 minute mark. Nice recipe! It's going into my Christmas baking collection!

Sugar Free Blueberry Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
I was a little skeptical about these,as I am not a fan of artificial sweeteners, but my dad is a diabetic so I thought I would give them a try. They we SO good, you really couldn't even tell it wasen't made with real sugar.Kind of tasted like a cross between cake and a scone(but not as dry as a scone). For anyone looking for a sugar free recipe, this one is definitely worth making!

Sour Cream 'n' Chive Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Very tasty.I also added one sliced clove of garlic to the potatoes while they were boiling, and used garlic salt instead of regular salt.I found them a little runny at first,so I put them in the oven the half hour my roast was"resting",and they were just fine after that.

Oven Pot Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
I used a 3.5 pound sirloin tip roast and cooked it for 3 hours. I like it a little pinker in the middle so I would probably do it in 2 and half next time. I also used beef consomme instead of vermouth, and it made the most wonderful gravy, not overly greasy.I made this fr six people, and they ate every last bite of it! Served it with Sour cream n' chive mashed potatoes(this site),green beans, carrots(which I added to the roasting pan for the last 45 min),and thick sliced sourdough bread.Fantastic!

Maple Dill Carrots

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
I made these for Thanksgiving Dinner, and they went really nicely with the meal, the maple flavour was subtle, but enough that everyone commented on it.They weren't too "saucy" either, just a light coating to jazz up the carrots a bit!Nice recipe.

This was very tasty. I doubled the sauce as recommended by others, and there was plenty. Also,DEFINETLY line the bottom of your dish with tin foil, unless you are planning on throwing it out after! Really good with rice.

Coconut Cream Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2008
This cake is awesome.I can't find coconut cream anywhere,so I used coconut milk, and followed other reviewers advice about letting the cake cool before refrigerating.I iced it with whipping cream, which was good, but I may try a light frosting next time. This was a light delicious cake, not soggy at all.In fact I will be making this for my wedding cake!

Brigadeiro

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
I followed the advice of other reviewers and used Nesquick, and also added an extra little scoop of cocoa for richness. It definitely took the full ten minutes to get it to a nice thick consistency, then I poured it onto lightly greased plate to make it easier to grab.Make sure you don't forget to grease your fingers,or you will just have a sticky mess. These rolled easily, and I coated them in both the chocolate sprinkles and coconut.I thought they were great, but I didn't really know what they were supposed to taste like. The true test was my brazilian fiance, who thought they were fantastic. His only complaint was they were gone too fast!

Lemon Coconut Squares

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
These bars are phenomenal.I used a little more lemon juice,(3/4 cup) and added 4 drops of yellow food coloring, but had I not made these changes, the bars would still be good.I am taking them to a baby shower tommorow, and my only worry is that I will eat them all before I get there! I will make these again for sure!!

Chewy Coconut Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2008
I followed other readers suggestions and used butter flavored shortening, doubled the vanilla and salt, and added one and a half cups of coconut. The bars turned out to have good flavor, but were a little dry,and not chewy at all.A nice bar to have with coffee.
