Whole-Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies

I followed some other reviews: Changed the 3/4 cup margarine to applesauce Changed 2 cups of sugar (white and brown) to 1 1/2 cups splenda I used all whole wheat flour (not pastry) They were yummy! And very filling. They were a bit cakey (so flatten them before cooking if you like flat cookies). I will try with the whole wheat pastry flour next time too.

Spiced Pot Roast

Great roast! I browned the roast in a pan, then placed in the slow cooker for 7 hours on low. I also didn't have any chutney, so I added extra onions. Perfect and pulled apart with a fork, thank you!

Jo Jo's Favorite Banana Muffins

Very good! I used Splenda instead of sugar and applesauce in place of margarine. I did also add a little extra banana. They were very moist and cakelike. A make again for sure.

Vanilla - Chocolate Powdered Sugar Frosting

Very creamy, not too sweet with the cocoa. Color is a light chocolate brown. I doubled the recipe for 2 9" rounds as someone previously suggested. Definitely better than store bought!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Delicious! I substituted applesauce for butter and cut the sugar from 3/4 to 1/2 cup. Calorie count for this recipe after substitutions is 159 calories each. Yay! The topping is to die for.

Phyl's Salsa

Ok, so I think I ate about half a jar while making this! I will never buy store bought salsa again. I halved the recipe, it made 4 mason jars full. I used the called for amount of jalapenos, plus threw in some seeds. Also used a serrano pepper with some seeds, just the right amount of spice. I found I did need the cornstarch to thicken things up at the end. I also added 1/2 cup fresh cilantro towards the end, what can I say, I love cilantro. I will make this again and again. Thank you for the recipe!

Fresh Tomato Salsa

This was very good! I used canned tomatoes instead of fresh (all I had on hand) and 1 jalapeno not seeded. Great cilantro taste, definitely add the salt, if not a little extra. Will make this again with fresh tomatoes.

Trinidad Stewed Chicken

So simple but so good! The coconut milk is a definite plus, makes the house smell like chinese food. Make a bit extra sauce, especially if serving over rice.

These are amazing! Very few cookies made it to the oven (the dough is SO good). Hubby even liked them and he's not a chocolate chip cookie fan. He had 12! Mine were a bit crumbly when I doubled the recipe.

Crab Salad III

This was really yummy! As with anything that has dried herbs in it, the longer you can let it sit, the better. I used orange peppers instead of green (sweeter), and cucumbers instead of radishes. Very good (and filling), will make again!

Egg Salad I

I like mustard, but it's way too much in this recipe. 1 tbsp of mustard to 3 mayo worked well. Also cut red onion by at least half. Great idea, just needs some tweaking:)
