Great recipe! If I want a frosting to stand up a little more for intricate cookies I use this frosting over an all butter frosting.

You can't beat this old school frosting recipe! Don't use margarine...use REAL butter. Be sure to beat it for the alotted time. Delish! I use a few drops of white food coloring if I want the frosting to be more white because the butter yellows the frosting a bit. Delish!

So easy and so good. Why ever buy a boxed cake mix again. This is so much better than those! Delish!

Pumpkin Ginger Cupcakes

Delicious! I followed the recipe exactly and these came out divine. I did use fresh pumpkin. The crystallized ginger is a super addition. Thank for the recipe. My little boy devoured his cupcake! I plan to use this time and time again. I think cream cheese frosting would be great on them too. :)

Key Lime Pie IX

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
FANTASTIC! My husband loved The Blonde Giraffe's key lime pie in Key West so I wanted to surprise him with a homemade one. I followed the recipe exactly and it was divine! I made a homemade graham cracker crust because I think they are better. I also doubled the meringue topping because I LOVE MERINGUE. Make this pie...you don't be disappointed! It tasted just like the real thing in Key West. :)

Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies in a Jar

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
This is a very good recipe. The flavor is 5 stars! They definately do not hold their shape though which makes it a 3 star recipe. I settled on a final review of 4 stars. My cookies turned out very flat, but tasted great regardless.

Cheesy Tuna Melts

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
I followed the recipe to a T with the exception of adding salt. The mixture was too dry in my opinion. I added more mayo. and voile! I would recommend heating up the tuna mixture first before broiling though because the tuna was still cold on the bottom. I also butter and toast my bread first before adding the tuna. My husband LOVED this!

Powdered Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
I followed the recipe exactly. The cookies were very good. I iced them with lemon cream cheese icing which put them over the top. Alone I think they were a little bland. Good though... With the icing my husband said they were the best cookies he's ever eaten...and that is serious stuff! He said the tender cookies paired with the icing was off the hook good! The icing I used was butter, cream cheese, fresh lemon juice and zest, powdered sugar, and milk to thin.

Tropical Salad with Pineapple Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
Super great! I rate the recipe as written 5 stars and with my changes 10 stars. I added feta cheese and dried cherries to the salad. I also added a few shakes of garlic powder and red pepper flakes to the dressing for some additional kick. I took the salad to a party and people flipped over it! I made it again with broiled chicken which was also fantastic! Be sure to use the freshest ingredients for huge success.

Sugar Free Strawberry Jiffy Jam

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
This was pretty good. It has the consistency of jello though which should be obvious since it is made with jello. :) I thought it would be a little runnier to make spreading easier, but it set up very firm. It was hard to spread on my bread. The jello masked the sweetness of the fruit too. Not bad, but not fantastic. I think I'll stick to using Splenda and freezer jam no-cook pectin. Thanks anyway.

Raisin Amber Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
Let me start off my saying I hate when people review a recipe then say all the things they changed. I didn't exactly do that. Here it goes! I made the pie filling and just baked it without the crust (too lazy to make crust) or meringue. I followed the filling recipe to a T and it turned out AMAZING! The filling is rick and creamy and the allspice adds an element of spice. Once the filling was baked I let it cool for a little bit then served each serving with a huge spoonful of Haagen-Daz Rum Raisin ice cream! HOLY COW! I will definately make this again! Thanks!

Big E's BBQ Rub

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
Love this rub! We used it on bacon-wrapped shrimp and it was amazing. I do not think it needs the added salt because of the saltiness of the Old Bay. Thanks so much for the recipe. We will use it on all varieties of meats.
