I am a 47 year old divorcee who got thrown back into the kitchen about two years ago and have been making friends and impressing people ever since. I was taught to cook originally by my mom and grandmother.

Jambalaya, Shark or Swordfish, anything Italian or Asian, chicken in various ways, I just love to experiment.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making everything from scratch if it is to be a very special meal, especially my grandmother's homemade chicken and noodles.
My cooking triumphs
LOL, learning to make Christmas candy at 46. Finally mastering the use of spices in cooking anything. Learning to cook by taste rather than specific measurement, a skill my grandmother was adamant about.
My cooking tragedies
Trying to make a decent quiche for my former girlfriend's birthday. I can't bake worth beans, and she is a gourmet cook in my opinion.
