Easy Sour Cream Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
Love this recipe! Turned out great. I only had 3/4 cup of sour cream so I subbed in some vanilla yogurt to make up the difference and it was fantastic! I topped it with a homemade blueberry sauce and it was half gone before it even cooled! Will be using this as my staple cheesecake recipe.

Cannelloni Tre Sapori

This turned out really fantastic! My just husband loved it. The only thing I changed was I omitted the leeks (because I forgot to buy them), used regular mushrooms instead of portabellos, and doubled the sauce. Will make again.

Old-Fashioned Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
Awesome! I changed it a bit by putting cooked egg in the finished salad as opposed to cooking them in the dressing. I also substituted half of the sour cream with Hellman's mayo. This is a great recipe, I'm sure either as is or to tweak to your own preferences. A definite keeper!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

These were awesome! I used white and milk chocolate swirl chips and omitted the nuts and they turned out great! Crispy edge and soft center. These are definitely a new favorite.

Lemon Squares III

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2008
Really great! I used butter-flavored Crisco instead of butter for the crust and it came out awesome! I also forgot to put in the coconut, oops (baking with a 21 mth old can do that to you!)and they still tasted super good. I halved the frosting and put it on the squares while they were hot to make more of a glaze, so it wouldn't be too overwhelmingly sweet. Thanks! Will make these again.

Wonderful recipe and very easy!! Substituted butter flavoured Crisco and added 1 cup of butterscotch chips in place of a cup of choco chips and they turned out great! They were a big hit and will be making them regularly.

Easy Cut-Out Cookies

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
I made this cookies today and they turned out fine. I did use Crisco butter flavored shortening and white sugar instead of confectioner's sugar (as others suggested). I left the dough in the fridge for about 4-5 hrs. It was impossible to roll (too crumbly) so I added some milk, little by little, until I got a good ball formed and rolled it out between 2 sheets of wax paper. Baked each cookie for around 12 min as they just didn't seem done to me after 8-10 min. They are good but not the best I've had.

This frosting was wonderful! I had no problems with the recipe at all it turned out perfect, very sweet and chocolatey. I had enough to spread a nice layer over the top of a 9x13in cake.

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
I used this recipe to make truffles for the first time. They turned out really good, they were all gone within 2 days! I did find the balls very hard to roll after letting cool in the fridge 1 hr, maybe I will try 30 min next time. Also the coconut I was using to roll them in wouldn't stick very well. I made half of them with the vanilla extract and the other half with rum extract. Both very good but I preferred the rum extract. Will make again.
