I'm a newly wed and my husband and I are learning new recipes everyday. We have our favorites, but we love to try new things. We're also living in a Co-op, so we cook for about 6 people when we prepare a meal. So not only are we learning new recipes, we're making them in large quantities as well! It's quite an exciting adventure! I love casseroles. They are simple, hard to screw up, and 9 times out of 10, taste delicious. I also love cooking family recipes. One of my favorite wedding gifts was a "Recipes To Treasure" cookbook my aunt put together where she collected recipes from family and church members. It has been great for beginners like us because these are tried and true recipes. My husband loves my cooking. He's always complimenting me on how wonderful everything tastes...I guess that's quite a triumph, except he could be a little biased. Oh man..I've had too many. I'm not really a natural cook. One time I tried to make chocolate milk so I mixed hot cocoa mix into cold water...didn't work; so being the genius that I am, I decided to microwave the water, cocoa and all - the microwave was a mess. Now, if I can screw up hot chocolate, just let your imagination run wild about all of the other mistakes I've made.
