Student at Appalachian State University in NC. I started getting into nutrition within the past year or two since I had to fend for myself. Since Moms cooking was left behind in NY and I'm an active runner (currently training for the Boston Marthon!) I'm very concern with what I put in the gas tank. I'm currently trying out the Vegetarian life style, which has been a surpringly easier then I thought. But since I have a sweet tooth I'm constantly looking to satisfy it with something sweet yet some what healthy. I make alot of bread, its basically what got me started in the kitchen world.
My favorite things to cook
Big on granola bars (energy bars), cookies and breakfast. I'm starting to get more into cooking although I lack experience with the use of spices
My favorite family cooking traditions
Ummm...? I'd say thanksgiving pies. Doesnt get much better then that
My cooking triumphs
I've made a Vegetarian Chili from this site, very delicious. Umm... I'm constantly making whole wheat wraps and bread cause I'm a big sandwich and wrap guy.
My cooking tragedies
Most everything, I constantly try to make things "to Healthy" and they come out tasting bland and lacking flavor. Somethings were just meant to be left alone I guess.
