About this Cook
I come from a long line of excellent cooks but have not taken interest in cooking until recently. I am a full time housewife and mother of 2
My favorite things to cook
anything that is quick, easy and delicious
My favorite family cooking traditions
Turkey dinners on the holidays, baking Christmas cookies and making Easter candies
My cooking triumphs
I made my very first turkey dinner earlier this year. It was delicious thanks to my mom and dear old grandma
My cooking tragedies
I tried making an orange bread once that cooked over because the loaf pan I used was too small. It made a horrible mess in my oven while dropping onto the heating element. The burnt smell was awful.

Beefy Tomatoes
I would give this 10 stars if I could. It was a little time consuming, but so worth it. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad
I also used fresh strawberries. I made the strawberry gelatin and while that was cooling off, I cut one pound of strawberries into small pieces. I stuck them both into the fridge and once the gelatin started to thicken, I added the strawberries and then poured that over the cream cheese mixture. It set perfectly! My mother never had it made with fresh strawberries before and said it was the best she ever had. My husband who never had this before in his life thought it was out of this world and he doesn't even really like cream cheese or strawberries, so that says alot!

Crab Alfredo
This was really good! I did not have half and half so I used the whole milk/butter substitution suggestion listed on the tips and advice substitutions page on this site. I also doubled the recipe and used a little extra parm. cheese. Everyone loved it. I will definately make this again!!
