About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up, Sunday dinners at my mom and dad's house, me and my sisters learning to cook fried chicken and mashed potatoes. My dad became more impressed as each Sunday passed.
My cooking tragedies
My 1st day after Thanksgiving w/ my new husband. To impress him even further after a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, leftover turkey was going to be used in a turkey stew recipe. The recipe called for turkey (of course) and some veggies and 1 (one) tsp peanut butter. I thought the recipe said 1 (one) cup peanut butter. It became more like peanut butter stew, it was so-o-o not good. Found out later there was a little flour covering the "ts" in tsp. We couldn't even taste the turkey, it was horrible - a total disaster, but we had a good laugh out of it.
