Honey Milk Tea - Hong Kong Style

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
Very good if a bit too sugary. This doesn't make very much however, and I made this for my class, so I had to make this recipe x 8. For one person I would recommend maybe making two servings.

Soda Cracker Cookies

It was pretty good but would have been better if there wasn't so much of the butter/brown sugar mixture that the bottom was soggy. Next time I think I'll make about 1/2 of the mixture instead.

Layered Chocolate and Peanut Butter Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
I may have overbaked this by I'm not sure how long. I got distracted by The Who playing at the Super Bowl halftime- they were just too amazing to miss a second! I'm not sure how much better it would have been if it had not been baked as long, but it wasn't bad. It just needed something that I can't put my finger on.

Spinach Enchiladas

I made this as is, and I liked it but I think it needs something. I know it's supposed to be a vegetarian dish, but next time I would like to try it with chicken and I think it would be great with a side of Mexican rice. It was still good though, and it smells like it's from a restaurant!

Great cake! It definitely was easy and tasted like it was from the box! The best cake from scratch I have made yet.

DE-LI-CIOUS! I made this recipe exactly the way it was written (except without the cloves because I didn't have any on hand) and it came out amazing! I would say it tastes similar to mini glazed pumpkin doughnuts! I will definitely make this again and again!

Creamy Lemon-Blueberry Dessert

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
Great recipe! I made it for the fourth of July party in my neighborhood and everyone loved it! It was surprisingly light, mind you I made some substitutes, such as 1/3 fat cream cheese, sugar free whipped cream, reduced fat nilla wafers, etc. I'll definitely make it again! (a neighbor asked me to make it for every neighborhood party)

Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
I followed theis reipe with only a few minor changes: I used a nutter butter crust recipe from a reviewer in the recipe No Bake Peanut Butter Pie, I didn't put candy on top of the pie (it would've been too much, it's already rich enough), and I used dark chocolate syrup in between the peanut butter filling and the whipped cream. The pie was very rich, creamy, and delicious. My family loved it and I will make it again =)

Fruit-Filled White Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
This recipe was amazing!!! Everyone loved it! I took the advice of one reviewer and used less white chocolate chips (3/4 cups). It turned out wonderful- one person said that there was a perfect balance in the icing- not too much of anything. The pineapple also added a nice texture to the icing. The whole thing was delicious! Will use again.

I followed what one reviewer said to bake on 375 F and to bake 25 minutes covered and 20 uncovered. It turned out perfect and everyone loved it, including myself!

Raspberry Chocolate Supremes

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
Great recipe! Very rich and creamy! I made a bit of a mistake with the crust though- I mixed the crust ingredients with a mixer which made it more flourey than I it should be(so the butter couldn't melt and bring the whole crust together better). It didn't turn light brown, and I let some extra butter melt on top of it and cooked it longer. It turned out harder than I would have liked, but even with that it didn't take away from the recipe- it was still delicious!

Dessert Crepes

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
I was amazed at out these turned out!! This is the first time I've made crepes and I didn't think that they'd be so perfect! I also added some cinnamon and vanilla to the batter as other reviewers suggested. I didn't have much of a problem with flipping them like some other reviewers, for some reason. It might be the amount I of batter I used. I put whipped cream and blueberries on the inside, and confectioners sugar and syrup on the outside. They turned out light and delicious!

Cream Cheese-Filled Coffeecake With Fruit Preserves and Crumble Topping

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
Not horrible, but very bland. I made it with the cream cheese filling, the cake and the top- nothing extra. It really needs something, the cream cheese filling was really the only thing that gave it any flavor and the topping became tastless and a bit to hard.

Peanut Butter Cake II

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2008
I made this cake for my sister's bday, and I loved the icing recipe for this cake when you added the cream cheese, as recommended by some reviewers. It was delicious! It tasted like peanut butter fudge, and the consistency wasn't that far off either- I could've eaten the icing by itself it was so good (my friend did =) ). As for the cake itself, it was so-so. I didn't care much for the consistency of the cake that came from putting peanut butter in it- it made the cake very thick (although we did not eat the cake on the same day I made it).

No Bake Peanut Butter Bars

A great quick and easy desert! I would recommend using a bit less peanut butter-maybe 1 1/2 cups, and a bit more chocolate. All of that peanut butter made it a bit too rich.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2008
This cookie turned out VERY thin and limp. There weren't enough dry ingredients, and I think there were too many chocolate chips too. One person said it was that there were too many eggs, and that is why they turned out so 'wet'. Nobody else seemed to have this problem. Can anyone help me with this? (Everyone liked this recipe a lot, though.)

Gary's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
This recipe was delicious!! I did, however, make a few modifications: I followed the advice of reviews to cut down the butter to 1 1/2 sticks butter, and then added the butter and garlic mix to the mushrooms after they came out of the oven, which made them moist and buttery, instead of dry. I would also not add the stems to the stuffing because it really does not do anything for it, and you'll end up with much more stuffing than you need. Be careful though, they can be slippery! I also added all of the seasonings after the mushrooms came out of the oven as well. Another thing I did was I did not use crab meat because my mom only likes crab alone, and she does not like anything even a little bit spicy so I omitted the red pepper as well. everyone loved them, and lots of people wanted the recipe! People kept asking for more of them, and a couple of people said they were the best mushrooms they'd ever had!
