WOW!!! These are awesome. Made them and took to a Christmas party and they were a huge hit! Followed the advice of others. I doubled the oatmeal mixture, except the butter. I used 1 cup of butter. Did not need to add any extra chocolate, nuts or caramel. When I crumbled the top layer on I gently pressed it into the caramel layer as someone else suggested. I think this was a good idea so the bars held together. With these changes it fit in a 9 x 13 pan perfectly. Also lined the pan with foil which made it super easy to pull them out and cut once cooled completely. Very yummy & chewy. Can't wait to make again!

Followed recipe exactly and it was great. My three year old and I had a blast making these into halloween cookies. The dough has to be chilled or it is too sticky to work with. Loved the texture, very soft. Loved that they aren't too sweet! Can't wait to make for Christmas!
