Boilermaker Tailgate Chili
I am going to give this four stars only because it's a little too spicy for my taste, BUT my husband and in-laws LOVED it (they love food on the spicy side), and it was a huge hit when family came in to town. Hubby said it was the BEST chili he has ever tried. I would make it next time and separate into two batches (omitting the chili peppers, tabasco sauce and cayenne pepper in my portion). Otherwise, we added extra ground beef (3 lbs instead of 2) and 1 lb extra italian sausage. Great recipe.

Gypsy Soup
I was really happy with this one. My husband didn't care for it too much simply because he didn't like the sweetness of it - he suggested I try it next time with regular potatoes instead of sweet potatoes (Hmmmmmm). It had a lot of flavor. I doubled the recipe like others suggested, and I also added a pint of half & half during the last 15 minute simmer to make it a cream-based soup, and I increased the chicken stock by 2 cups. I also substituted soy sauce for the tamari and curry powder for the turmeric as others did on this forum. Great meal for a cold or rainy day, easy to make and healthy too.

Texas Black Bean Soup
I made this recipe due to the rave reviews, and was very disappointed. I didn't change anything in the recipe, and it turned out more like I threw beans in water and added some cheap salsa. My husband wouldn't even touch it. I saved it as a filler for a future batch of chili. It seemed like it was missing something (or a lot of things), and I don't understand why it got such rave reviews. ???
