About this Cook
I'm still a little sprout in the world of bakers. My friends and family, the ones that eat my concoctions regardless of taste, are my inspiration. Baking keeps me sane and happy. Also, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing that smile of satisfaction on someone else's face. =)
My favorite things to cook
Anything sweet! =)
My cooking tragedies
The first cheesecake I made was a complete and total disaster. The recipe instructions didn't state that the eggs needed to be added one at a time. What did it taste like? Cheesy, sandy, scrambled eggs in a graham cracker crust. Needless to say, I learned my lesson, teehee. ^^

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way
Thanks so much for the great recipe! It's harder to get dry herbs and bouillon where I am,so I had to make a few adjustments. I couldn't find any chicken stock or chicken bouillon, so I just added 1 1/2 tbsp salt, some garlic powder, and 1 tsp minced garlic to the water. I also used fresh parsley and onion instead. I seasoned and cooked the turkey according to the recipe, and my guests couldn't have been more satisfied! It was my first time baking a turkey, and thanks to you, it won't be my last! =D

Madeleines II
These came out fluffy on the inside and a little crispy on the outside. It's my first time making/eating Madeleines, so I don't really know how they are supposed to turn out. Even so, my friends and I enjoyed them way too much. So much that my friends asked me to make them another batch for their next golf round! =) Fresh lemons are a little hard to get my hand on here, so I just doubled the vanilla extract to 1 teaspoon. My first batch of 12 came out a bit too dark, so I put the second batch in for only 8 minutes. The bottoms came out a gorgeous golden brown. Everything else worked out great for me! Thanks for the yummy recipe. ^^
