Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
Best meatloaf I've ever had. I couldn't find my bread pans so I put it in an 8x8 nonstick pan. I cooked this in the oven at 350 for about 90 minutes to make sure is wasn't pink. Next time I'll double the sauce, it just wasn't quite enough. Great recipe!

Sesame Pasta Chicken Salad

Very tasty. I will have to half the oil next time and maybe add a bit more of the other ingredients. Everyone loved it at the bbq and they all wanted the recipe.

Spicy Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
I cooked this all together in a cast iron skillet. I cooked the sausage first (I had 3 brats), then added two sliced carrots, 2 slices of onion (chopped), a can of chopped stewed tomatoes, 1/2 c of frozen corn and peas and 1/2 can green beans. There wasn't much liquid so I added about 1 c water so that it could simmer together and cook the carrots and onion. I added about 1/2 t each salt, pepper, parsley, red pepper flakes and a dash of oregano and two green onions. I threw in about 1 c of leftover spaghetti sauce that I had leftover like Aly suggested. It simmered for about 20 minutes and then sered it over rice. Very tasty.

I followed Cooking 101's suggestions and this turned out great. I used Jack Daniels original bbq sauce (the best bbq ever made) and it turned out so good.

Easy Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
Great Recipe!! I added 1/2 t thyme, a dash of parsley, some celery salt, and 1/2 t cayenne pepper. I omitted the oregano and used mild italian sausage and stewed tomatoes. I used about twice the rice and it was just right. Make sure that you let the beans simmer for a while so they soak up the flavor. Add a little water if you want it a little more saucy.

Butter Cream Frosting II

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
I halved the recipe and used it on 12 cupcakes and an 8" square dish and it was plenty. I used 1 tsp vanilla and added the milk slowly until I got the consistency I wanted. Very easy to make which was very good for me.

I liked how these turned out. I was worried that the jam would dry out too much, but it was perfect.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

These are great! I ran out of time so I refrigerated half of the dough. They were very crumbly and hard to bake the next day, but the rest of the cookies were fabulous.

Fluffy Whole Wheat Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2009
I didn't have whole wheat flour so I just used white and they came out nice. I was a little worried with how sticky my dough was, but with a floured surface and rolling pin they didn't stick at all.

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
The soup was very good, but I thought it was a little heavy on the cream cheese. Next time we'll only use one brick. I used one butternut and one acorn squash and baked them first (I didn't notice they would be boiled in the recipe) and then blended them with the cream cheese and added that to the broth. It came out incredibly creamy.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
This was incredible and was so easy to make. The batter was so quick to prepare and wasn't too sweet. I used about a quart of home canned peaches (drained) and sprinkled a bit of cinnamon on top before baking. Very good! I make this again and again and it's a big hit. This last time I ran out of milk and just used water and it turned out good too.

Potato Casserole

I used a cream of celery soup and I omitted the butter drizzled on the corn flakes and I didn't grease the pan. It didn't stick and was a little less greasy than other recipes that I have tried. Great recipe.

Buffalo Chicken Fingers

I used about double the garlic and cayenne than the recipe called for. Mine also baked for about 10 minutes per side (maybe I had thicker chicken.) They were spicy and tasted great with some spicy honey mustard and ranch to dip them in.
