About this Cook
I love to cook and experiment in the kitchen. It is my way of relaxing after a day at work or on the weekends. I love to try new foods, and I love to challenge myself in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake sweets treats like cookies and cupcakes, and I also enjoy making dishes that I find challenging. Soup is also something I enjoy making.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother is Syrian so I love to recreate the recipes that have been passed down for generations such as hummus and baklava.
My cooking triumphs
I recently was given the Magnolia Bakery cookbook, and I have enjoyed recreating their recipes. I also baked 8 apple pies in one day for a bake sale that sold within the first few hours of the sale!

Elegant Orzo with Wilted Spinach and Pine Nuts
I was looking for a quick, tasty meal for just me, and this completely fit the bill! I just cut back the ingredients and added sundried tomatoes and zucchini to the spinach. Delicious!

Ratatouille
What a great recipe! I shared it with my neighbor and she loved it as well! I tweaked it a little by dicing the onion and adding it in with the garlic. I also minced some fresh herbs from my garden for added flavor. I used thyme, romsemary and oregano! Yum!!! What an easy, flavorful recipe!

Rich and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup
I used fresh tomato and placed them in boiling water as another user had suggested to crack the skin. It was super easy, and the soup turned out great!
