About this Cook
I just love food and I love to cook. I only recently began learning and loving to cook and bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Sugar cookies with my daughter. Every December we set aside a special time to make, bake and decorate from scratch a big batch. I collect cookie cutters so we have about 100 different cutters to choose from.
My cooking triumphs
I recently won 3rd place at the North Carolina State Fair for my Milk Chocolate Florentine cookies. I plan on submitting the recipe to All Recipes very soon.

New Red Potato Salad
So wonderful! I read the reviews and added 4 chopped hard-boiled eggs and 1 lb. cooked bacon. I also used Red-Wine Vinegar. It was super! Everyone just loved it. It is great as a side dish on those hot summer days when you are grilling out and don't want to heat up the oven.

Jalapeno Popper Spread
I love this recipe! Jalapeno Poppers are one of my favorite appetizers when eating out. But I don't like the calories associated with them. I have made this recipe with low fat using fat-free cream cheese, and low-fat. I also use a whole wheat or toasted multi-grain baguette (pop a few in the toaster for an individual fun meal!). I added a bit of bread crumbs to the top also, as recommended by others to keep the parm cheese from crusting over.

Cinnamon Nut Coffee Cake
I am not a coffee cake fan since they normally come out so dry. But this one was very moist. Not a 5, but pretty good.
