Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Jayme's Cole Slaw

I tried to use this recipe because it had less mayo in it than other recipes. I don't like much mayo. However, I ended up having to double the mayo to thicken the dressing up and cut the intense vinegar taste. After that, my family liked it. I like the taste that the apple cider vinegar gave the slaw, but I think next time I'll reduce the vinegar and increase the mayo.

Pumpkin Pie Bread

This bread was great!! I defiantly followed other reviewer's suggestions to substitute apple sauce for the oil, and reduced the sugar. It turned out great!! Especially after a few days in the fridge!! I wrapped individual slices in plastic wrap and gave it in gift bags.

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

This was the first pie dough I'd ever tried to do. It seemed easy enough, so I wasn't too nervous. I read and used tips from other reviews, which helped greatly!! I also used a trick borrowed from Alton Brown--I grated the stick of butter on a large cheese grater instead of dicing. Turned out great! I'm so glad I read the review that said the first roll out would be crumbly, because it was. But the second one worked perfectly!
