About this Cook
I love to cook. I love to bake. I truly enjoy good food and am passionate about it. When dining out I tend to lean towards italian, thai or indian food, but there is so much more out there I've yet to try. I don't give that much credence to non or low-fat ingredients when cooking a good meal (exercise & moderation work just fine), you'll *never* catch me cooking or baking with margarine instead of butter, and i get annoyed when i can't make lasagna because all I can find in the supermarket are ten kinds of low-fat, low-moisture, skim milk mozzarella. I own quite a few cookbooks, love the cooking channel, and the foodsaver comes in handy a lot these days.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort food in any form, italian food, pepper steak, chili, beef stroganoff, shepard's pie, roast pork cooked with sauerkraut & side of mashed potatoes, hot appetizers, cake, various cheesecakes, pie, zeppoles, cookies, muffins, banana bread, zucchini bread, brownies, fudge.. you name it

Buckeyes I
Not a thing wrong with them. I recommend using Jif peanut butter, tastes the best & worked great for the recipe. They didn't last long so I know I wasn't the only one who liked them!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
I made this pie for Thanksgiving a few years back, not having much experience w/ apple pies. And all I can say is.. absolutely perfect! It was beautiful on the outside and divine within. You could actually *taste* the apples, it wasn't overladen with sugar, and it made me proud to bring it to the family gathering. Everyone raved about it, thank you!

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge
First time I made this it came out wonderful. (Not so great the second time, but it must've been something I did.) Definitely easy, definitely worth it.
