About this Cook
I grew up watching my mom cook. She taught me at a young age and allowed me to help in the kitchen. She was the type of cook that passed down recipes that have never been written down, but made through our taste and the generations of ladies in my family. Today, I love to cook for others and entertain.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake pies, cakes, muffins, etc. My hubby can take them to work and share them and I am not stuck eating them! :) I love to pair wine with Italian meals and now living in the southwest, I am getting familiar with Mexican cooking. Through my travels I enjoy taking a recipe or two and continue cooking them.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite tradition would have to be the making of the stuffing for Thanksgiving! As well as my dad taking lead chef on the Christmas meal. He is quite the good cook too!
My cooking triumphs
I would say my best triumph would have to be the first meal I ever made alone. My mom gave me a recipe and the ingredients and I got to make dinner for my family. Impossible cheeseburger pie. Everyone said they enjoyed it and I do remember it all being eaten. My second would be my first Thanksgiving meal I cook for my family. Mmmm delicious, now I get to cook it every year!
My cooking tragedies
I have had many over the years, but it is our tragedies that make us better cooks!

Cowboy Cookies III
Absolutely Fabulous! My hubby loves them. I made a change and took the advice of others by using 3/4c. brown and white sugar. I also cut the rolled oats by a half of a cup and added 3/4 c. coconut flakes. We love coconut and they turned out great. The only trouble I had was getting them baked before my hubby ate all the dough!

World's Best Lasagna
This Lasagna was super. My husband and I enjoyed it. I would however use a more spicy italian sausage. It was a little on the sweet side and we like spice. Definitely will use this again. Thanks!
