Before I found this, I was using the recipe on the Bisquick box. Bleah.
I made some modifications to this recipe. I used whole-wheat graham flour, liquid egg whites, powdered nonfat milk, kosher salt, and Sugar in the Raw (cane sugar.) I used 2.5 tablespoons of cane sugar, since the graham flour is a little bitter and cane sugar isn't quite the same as white. The result is tasty, delicious, and uber-healthy. :D Top them with some (homemade) cinnamon applesauce and you'll be in breakfast heaven.
I didn't stick the leftover batter in the fridge. Instead, I used it all at once and put a batch of waffles in the freezer. During the week I can just pop a couple waffles in the toaster and go. Yay, freezerwaffles!
