My first attempt at making a roast and the flavor was wonderful! the suggested cooking time was way too long though. I cooked my roast for about 8 hrs on low in the crock pot and it was a little dry. I will check the temp at about 6 hrs. Thanks for the great recipe!

I have made this recipe many times now and my family absolutely loves it! Its great for potlucks, parties, or just a cold winter day. I do exactly as the recipe specifies other than substituting one can of chili beans for a can of kidney beans just because we like kidney beans a lot. Great recipe and darn near idiot proof. A little time consuming but well worth the effort!
